Dems donā€™t have enough votes to stop any of his nominations. Republicans have the majority, blame them for confirming his picks.

Same.

Geez, heā€™s sounding just like a dictator or something.

How can this not be a red line for at least some of the Republicans in Congress ?????

Oh wow, Iā€™m so sorry. Iā€™m glad you confronted them. You canā€™t let stuff like that slide.

If you need facts, feel free to research and find them.

I donā€™t believe this.

The Republicans in Congress should still be pressured, even if they donā€™t care. Flood their phone lines, emails and send letters. They can stop this. Saying they donā€™t care and not pressuring them like we are the Dems only excuses their behavior.

How do you know they arenā€™t? We donā€™t know what they are doing behind the scenes. What are Republican members of Congress doing, besides rolling over? There are like 70 court cases pending against the administration so far. Here is where you can track them: www.justsecurity.org/107087/track...

Anyone (person or group) can write/suggest a bill but only members of Congress can introduce it for consideration, and a member or members of Congress have to sponsor the bill.

Exactly!

Why does he even have access to Fort Knox? Is he going audit the gold?

This is true. Younger generations donā€™t want seniors around, and employers wonā€™t hire them for jobs that can actually earn a living, even if they have years of experience.

This paragraph sticks out to me. Didnā€™t attorneyā€™s for the DOJ recently claim Musk had no decision making authority and he is strictly an advisor. Then why would he be meeting with members of Congress to introduce legislation? Why would he be introducing legislation?

He said he thought it was worth it to ā€œbuy freedom of expressionā€. Interesting wording.

Same here and Iā€™m a Michigander. Canā€™t stand her.

100% agree with Tamika! We canā€™t fight each and blame each other and present a united front at the same time.

Mitch voted yes unfortunately. I would have thought he would be a no after announcing heā€™s not running for re-election.

Exactly, tax breaks should not be on the table at all.

Collins and Murkowski voted with Dems against Patel.

Only if there are no tax cuts passed in the upcoming budget reconciliation and grants for Space X, Tesla and Musks other companies are also cut 30%. If the country is that much in debt and really trying to cut spending there should not be any tax cuts on the table.

Unbelievable. Elected Republicans are fully backing this regime. They cannot be trusted.

Itā€™s either that or a deal cut with Amazon for Amazon to take over mail delivery.

2/2 The person promising this $5k refund is Musk, who according to a recent court filing has no authority to make such (any) decisions, and the $ has not (and will not) be appropriated by Congress (who still holds the purse).
comment in response to post
1/2 Let me see if I have this straightā€¦ a country that is trillions of $ in debt and is laying off employees by the thousands is going to turn around and send every citizen a $5k refund? How does that in anyway make sense to you?

The Constitution does still exist, EOs are not law.

And Tesla was just awarded a $400 million contract, and space x a $300 million contract. Thatā€™s where the real fraud is.
comment in response to post
Thatā€™s a real twist of garbage. The fraud allegedly happening in Social Security and Medicare is to pay immigrants to vote? How exactly is that happening Mr. Musk? Show us the proof.

Peace talks without Ukraine at the table are not peace talks.

Her press conferences are a total waste of time, nothing she says is true. Didnā€™t think they could be any worse than with Kayleigh McEnany but I was wrong, they are worse.
comment in response to post
No, it isnā€™t. Executive orders arenā€™t law and it clearly goes against the Constitution.

Ukraine didnā€™t start the war. No amount of lying or gaslighting is going to change this fact.

But itā€™s okay for Meta to push right wing ads and accounts on us. My feeds on FB and IG have changed since the election, I never used to see so many right wing propaganda accounts. Now Iā€™m blocking them like crazy.

Exactly! As an Accountant (for 20 yrs) with a property mgmt firm managing subsidized housing, the government required annual audits by independent auditors. Audit teams would come in and take a few weeks going over tenant files and all accounting transactions. What DOGE is doing is not an audit.
