Now in addition to the #TeslaTakedown, can we start the #TwitterTakedown? (I refuse to call it “X” because it’s dumb.)

Travelling to the US is getting more risky. We updated our guide to hardening your devices if you are planning on heading to the US. We’ve taken the paywall off this article too

Attorney general to Jasmine Crockett: 'Tread very carefully' with your Musk critique (Amanda Friedman/Politico) Main Link | memeorandum Permalink

If you're critical of the US government and you are planning to cross the US border any time soon, today is a good day to review EFF's border search pocket guide: www.eff.org/document/eff...

Again, what's going on is NOT merely tax cutting and grift. There's a larger social theory behind it, which is that generalized AI intelligence will be able to do everything and do it better than human organizations real real soon, so society is now merely a drag on creating our AI god

For those folks who have been waiting to climb the pole and ring the “constitutional crisis” bell, it would appear we have arrived. Neither Judge Sorokin nor Judge Boasberg believed that he was signing a meaningless order, and both judges demanded compliance that never came.

No bueno. arstechnica.com/gadgets/2025...

Pinning this

Whether Judge Boasberg was correct on the law is largely irrelevant to whether the government is in contempt for willfully disobeying it. If the Trump administration knew there was an order from a federal judge and then willfully violated it, that is the end of the analysis.

This is the hardest I laughed since Trump became president.

This is deplorable and regressive.

A YES on cloture is a YES for the bill. Do not let anyone play games with you.

If a shutdown gave Trump/Musk more power than that’s what they’d be pushing for. Instead, Trump has pushed hard to get the CR so clearly that’s what he views as in his best interests, which is all Trump cares about. So good fucking job from Chuckie.

On April 20th, Noem and Hegseth will deliver a report to Trump on implementing the Insurrection Act. We all know what the outcome will be. If you think he's abusing power NOW, we ain't seen anything yet. Elbows up. #USDemocracy www.americanprogress.org/press/releas...

Office of @raskin.house.gov provided a letter template to officially request your federal personal data from DOGE in accordance with the Privacy Act, 5 U.S.C. § 552a(d)(1) and this could be interesting jamieraskin.com/doge-privacy...

More than 100%? Are people walking backward toward Mexico? Did he reverse the flow of time? Are people spontaneously popping into existence on the Mexico side? Is this where dark energy comes from?

This is the language that we got for a grant that was cut to DOD and another one that USDA made earlier in the day. Is this the DOGE go-to move to cut programs they don't like?

RDP has been compiling profiles of reported DOGE agents. Now, we have a new tool that enables you to read about them in one place and to filter by agency to see who has been sabotaging what. Check it out here! therevolvingdoorproject.org/agents-behin...

The details are disturbing. It basically looks like a kidnapping. They even got his legal status wrong but proceeded to detain him anyway. The agents didn’t even identify themselves at first and refused to show a warrant. His wife is 8 months pregnant

Democrats are struggling with messaging, but that’s it, right there, “Republicans hate veterans.” Every single D senator and representative should get in front of a camera and say that simple message, over and over, as many times as it takes to seep into the public consciousness.

“This is an assault, not on just one little group of researchers, this is saying certain kinds of knowledge is not to be supported by the government.” The Trump administration is actively breaking the law. www.bostonglobe.com/2025/03/06/m...

Donald Tusk has a point here. www.nytimes.com/2025/03/07/w...

The Guardian is reporting that Trump is openly violating a court order, and has transferred multiple transgender women to men's facilities. We know in Florida, transgender women are having their hair shorn, feminine items confiscated, and pulled off medication. This is inhumane and illegal.

We just updated atlasofsurveillance.org with more than 200 new law enforcement agencies that maintain registries of private surveillance cameras. Search to see what tech your local cops are using.

France just can’t stop showing off. Now they’ve burnt down their first Tesla dealership in protest to Elon Musk. #E3 #TeslaTakeOver

Hilarious that Republicans criticized Al Green's lack of decorum in the House chamber, the same place where Trump sent his supporters to murder lawmakers, after which he pardoned all the convicted insurrectionists.

"A sudden shuttering would put at risk nearly 300,000 bees in the collection that hadn’t yet been properly preserved. Their little bodies left to rot in an empty lab building. Gnawed by mice, scattered by insects. Decades of research, gone." www.thebaltimorebanner.com/community/cl...

Glad this is still getting attention because it was a genuinely insane move in a wide variety of ways, including that had these guys gotten their way it may have actually breached levees and led to floods across California farmland.

Genuinely encouraging developments. Also, Newsom can get fucked.

Farmers and ranchers are bracing for additional costs on everything from fertilizer to tractors, and industry representatives are already bringing concerns to elected officials.

It's the entire email list for all DOGE employees. Have fun!

The Republicans took both houses of Congress and the White House, so maybe some voters liked those outbursts and they DID actually have an effect. Dumb example Axelrod.

Excellent example for everyone. And underscores the point that a couple of jackwagons with backpacks and zero legal authority don’t actually need to be obeyed.
