Kitties can take a while to adjust to a new environment - generally speaking, they hate change (they're just like me fr). You're doing the right things being patient with her and staying close while also giving her the time she needs to get comfortable. It'll be a process, but she'll warm up!

Not so fun fact: one of my former high school classmates is a senator there who has put out anti-trans legislation. Fuck her in particular. I'm sad and angry that because of her and others running the state, I can't feel totally safe visiting the place where I've always felt most at home.
