Based on the Vegas spreads, the Spartans beat the odds over the previous five-game gauntlet. According to Spartans Illustrated's Paul Fanson, Michigan State had just a 1.3% chance (1-in-75) to sweep those five contests. A $100 parlay, in theory, would have paid out $7500.

Tre Holloman has made multiple heaves in practice recently, so it wasn't too much of a surprise to Tom Izzo when he delivered to win it for Michigan State at Maryland. “I thought that thing was in when it left (his hand). I really did.”

To end a grueling 7-day stretch, MSU dominates rivals UM on the road. Coach Tom Izzo credits it to their old school approach. “I didn’t get any complaining," Izzo said. "I didn’t get any.”

In the biggest stage of the season thus far, it was the backcourt duo who carried the Spartans to victory. “You’re not supposed to like those guys, this rivalry … now that I’m actually playing it, it is really special.”
