Very cool. I’d love to meet some other designers while I’m there. I’ll stop by, what’s your booth?

For example… If you could give a game an 8 for player interaction and a 2 for hand management, you might actually be able to find games you really love.

There’s absolutely no context to how people rate games on bgg, it sucks. When a game gets bad reviews because someone who is super into 18xx games hates trick taking, they ruin it for other people who simply look at the rating. They should really have ratings on elements/mechanics of the game.

Hell ya, we need more Eric Lang stuff in the world.

I think in world that’s so over saturated, people are looking more for niche things that are totally unique. I haven’t played City of Six moons yet, but have often discussed with folks and love that it exists.

A friend recently sent me this and I thought this was a great way to pitch a game. It’s short, concise and had me sold. www.youtube.com/watch?v=gpjM...

It’s a combination of drafting tiles and building a maze that allows wizards to escape to the correct colors from the center. You can also gain spells that allow you to alter how and when you move.

I played a ton of Mille Bornes as a kid, loved that game. We had a pretty cool vintage version of it too.

I’m actually working on a podcast episode about the original d20 production dice made in Japan. Also not cheap! www.ebay.co.uk/itm/12694301...
