The principle of civilian control means the military cannot override civilians on the basis of its expertise. It does not mean the conduct of the civilians in control is immune from scrutiny (including impeachment) nor that the military must comply with illegal or immoral orders.

Viss denne krisa ikkje får folk til å slutte å tru at Noreg kan fungere åleine, så er det ingenting som gjer det. Sverige og Finland forstod at NATO var nødvendig. Men dei er smartare enn oss. For me er låst til eit evig EU-nei, fordi dogmer aldri døyr. Snakk om å motarbeide norsk sjølvstende.

Det gjør meg fly forbanna. Jeg har vært to runder i Afghanistan sammen med amerikanere i en krig de startet. Jeg har sett kollegaer fra hele Europa falle eller bli såret, skulder til skulder med amerikanerne. Og vi har ikke *bidratt*? 😡
