The first thing that happened to me when I played the Sims was Mortimer Goth tried to make macaroni, and immediately burned his whole house down and died. The Sims want nothing more than to die. Good luck.

At first, I parsed this as him eating a wad of money.

Yes. He is "doing" the "work" of "warming" your "lap". Certainly.

"B.O." Wolf, eh?

Yes. It depends on the specific thing happening and tone, though. When a transformation is framed as actively ruining someone's life, and they're crying, etc, it makes me upset... But then there's An American Werewolf In London 😩 or Sorry To Bother You 😩😩

Scrolling quickly, when I passed this I thought I read "still doodlin racism, he's hot" and had to scroll back up to check... (but yes Roshim is very handsome)

Hanging those two together works quite well: one catches the eye with overflowing detail, the other catches the eye with totemic simplicity. Impressively, at about the same intensity, too, even if through different methods.

Something about the variety of expressions for this scene is really funny to me. The addition of a goofy excited puppy dog amongst the serious doms gives the scene a funny mood.

Delicate and thoughtful with line weighting. Extremely handsome as a portrait, and well designed as a totemic composition.

I noticed this with a few concerning wolves. I don't have the titles or reference numbers on hand, but one which was supposed to say "some people are simply maliciously evil" really read more like "if you treat someone as unfixably monstrous it gives them license to just be monstrous".

It is one of Tarkovsky's best (along with Stalker and Nostalghia). Definitely worth finishing one day when you have the time.

Opening monologue of this film relevant youtu.be/OOA7_NGmIOg so I guess cultural-orthodoxism also causes it.

Still really beautiful and evocative. Shows the dawn convincingly, and the poses go together to make a nice abstract flow. I hope you are proud of this and the atmosphere/personality created.

That is Cremaster 1. The sport in 2 is bull-riding, in 3 it's mainly rock-climbing, in 4 it's car-racing, and in 5 it's... uh... opera.

The rounded shape of the nose combined with the very strongly rendered eye-black, kind of recalls the logo of Matthew Barney's Cremaster Cycle in my head. (sport is a strong component to this video-art series, too!)

My general philosophy of poetry is that it requires some kind of frame/restriction/"shaping" to make it work (free verse lacking a conceit is a bugbear of mine); concrete poetry is literally making it shaped, so, it was of interest. And yours is good. Thank you for making it.

Yes it is, I know from my own copy! I just saw the hand one here, so wanted to comment that it was a favourite.

Not a week goes by that I don't by happenstance come to think of Lowly Worm and his car, or some other Busy World Of Richard Scarry critter. I suppose it was formative in my childhood.
