Honestly I think Felix/Calhoun is about the best answer it's possible to give to this question. ❤️

It's this kind of attitude that will see us through these dark times.

No children and no desire for them. As mentioned before, she doesn't get along with or respect her parents and resents them for the circumstances of her birth, and she has no desire to "inflict" her "impure" bloodline on any scions of her own.

I don't think Lavinia is even entirely certain what or where she wants out of life. Whatever it may be, she'll keep wandering until she finds it, and enjoying the journey along the way.

If there is any villain in Lavinia's story, it's her schoolmates who tormented her for being half-Garlean, and she certainly has no desire to "win them over". She'd much rather put her boot through their jaws.

I don't think this one is really applicable to her, or if it is, I haven't developed her nearly enough to know about that.

Garuda, I think. She has a lot of that "how dare anyone try to hold me back and keep me under control" attitude, and when she gets going she can be quite a deathly dervish herself.

Lavinia ain't shipped with anyone and good luck trying to pin her down for that. She does her own thing.

None, really. Lavinia's existence isn't really dependent on the canon story, as she's basically an NPC.
Appearance-wise, if I were more skilled, I would probably give her some additional scars, considering how much fighting she's seen.

It's likely she didn't really lose much of anything—central Ilsabard, her family's home, doesn't seem to have been heavily affected. At the same time, though, it's possible one or more of her brothers could have been fighting at Carteneau... 🤷

However, I do *not* think she would have been in Eorzea, simply because she wouldn't have wanted to be in the path of two of the empire's most infamous military commanders—for fear of conscription if her identity were determined, if nothing else.

That's... a good question, actually.
Lavinia would have been several years into her wanderings at the time of the Calamity, but exactly *where* she was, I don't know.
Lavinia is a traveler and could have plausibly been just about anywhere.

I wouldn't call any of Lavinia's relationships with the societies "warm," but if she were to favor one, it would be the Vath. They're weird and kind of creepy-looking, but once she knew them she'd see the similarities in breaking away from a monolithic culture and making one's own way.

Lavinia likes to people watch from out-of-the-way locations—a out-of-the-way bench, a balcony, the shade of a tree, the back corner table in the tavern, and so forth.
She's also a surprisingly avid consumer of books on the history of the world and its long-dead heroes.

Lol. Lmao even.
Lavinia despises governments and believes they're all corrupt, callous failures to their citizens.
She chafes even at non-governmental organizations. Authority and being restrained by the commands of others leaves a foul taste in her mouth and in her memory of childhood.

Lavinia will spit and curse the man without hesitation if it ever comes up in conversation, but it's clear they're spits and curses of affection and appreciation for putting up with her (rather than her usual, more belligerent flavor of spitting and cursing).

The process was a years-long cycle of difficult lessons, followed by Lavinia getting frustrated (either with herself or her instructor) and storming off, then showing back up the next day even more determined to prove herself.

That old gentleman is Lavinia's only real mentor, and while she couldn't have been a more petulant and willful student, he quickly identified all the buttons to press to get her back on her feet no matter how many failures she endured.

Originally, Lavinia was largely self-taught—she studied manuals and practiced obsessively.
A retired Garlean officer who happened to be passing by during one of her altercations was impressed by her spark and stubbornness, and after she got her ass kicked by over half a dozen classmates—

Lavinia is a hired sword, and she isn't especially picky or scrupulous about what the job is. She's especially adept at duels, but while her services as a champion are highly regarded, they're just as highly priced.

Lavinia has been traveling for over a decade and has unlearned *most* of her ingrained Garlean bias towards other races, but she's not all the way there, especially as it pertains to the beast tribes.
Her general disdain for the religious practices of other races doesn't help.

Her non-Garlean father, a former army conscript, was particularly opposed to "causing problems" for fear of drawing the ire of Garlean officials. Lavinia considers him a spineless embarrassment, unwilling to stand up to the abuse directed towards his children by the establishment.

Hardly. She resents her parents for forcing her through an education system that despised her, and for encouraging her to turn the other cheek to the bullying from her full-Garlean counterparts to "keep the peace."

I hadn't given much thought to the possibility of siblings, but now that I do I think Lavinia might be the youngest of three or four siblings—and probably her parents' only daughter.
She's very much the wild child of the bunch, as well.

Lavinia is half-Garlean by blood and—much as she despises the pureblooded Garleans who have a stranglehold on the empire's policies—full-Garlean by culture. She has no gods and puts all of her faith in herself, believing the faithful of Eorzea to be deluding themselves.

Lavinia was born in Locus Amoenus, the Garlean province formerly known as Corvos.

Lavinia doesn't do much to hide her character when making a first impression. She's self-assured to the point of arrogance, brash to the point of rudeness.
Sometimes cocky fools mistake her cool glare and sharp tongue as false bravado. That is not a long-lived mistake.
