I met him twice - the second time he was perturbing British Library security staff by insisting on signing and chatting by his torchlight after they’d turned the lights out!

Always and forever my favourite. I treasure my signed copy and am proud to live by The Warnings at Forkstoan.

With you 100%. It’s blissfully rare to hear a siren here, whereas our location there meant going barely ten minutes without one.

I am SO envious. Folkestone is a vast improvement on our previous auditory hellscape in Whitechapel though.

I am so sad to see this. David recruited me as City’s media manager. He was a great believer in positive and open media, and a good friend.

It is perfection, as is the whole episode. Happiest memories of watching it for 25th anniversary at Genesis Cinema’s bar - not only being allowed but encouraged to sing. Most unusual for me.

Husband took neighbours’ Tiny Child to comic con - TC spotted a ginormous Wendigo and proceeded to ask it all manner of deep and lengthy questions about its lifestyle, favourite football team etc.

Highly privileged to have interviewed them backstage post gig a hundred years ago. Featuring an unexpectedly naked Capt. Bob cheerfully running around.
I suspect drink at least had been taken.

I write from the heart, when I do. I’ve followed you for years in the Other Place and never fail to find humour, wonder, and quiet wisdom; all wrapped up in something that makes life well worth living - WS.

A pair darted around the garden yesterday - a first wren landing in decades. Absolutely joyful.

It’s my daughter’s comfort book, that she returns to now in her late 30’s when feeling down. Much as mine is Precious Bane, for a first love love story.
