I think there are several models. One is full return of land to indigenous groups and then renegotiation of property rights. Others I’ve seen involve re-assessment of the value of the treaty compensation to indigenous groups plus sovereignty over indigenous lands to those bands

A new framework is needed to reflect the rights, desires, and histories of all peoples of this land or Canada remains just as oppressive as this proposed American invasion would be here. We must see our own hypocrisy in this moment as so many turn to the flag
