I am comforted by your openness about your love for Alice and grief at her loss. We put down our best beloved kitty in September after a fast moving cancer, and it hurts. When stories of Alice come up on my feed, I feel less alone in my own grief.

I have had so much bad wine in europe. No name producers, bottles stored on hot shelves in small shops w/o AC, random jugs of “house wine” in cafes. It’s relatively easy to find a
decent bottle of US-produced wine in a coastal US city.

My father told me his iphone was broken and it couldn’t make calls. Mom took a pic of his phone with her phone (screen shots, too hard) and sent to me.

Eventually everyone learns Algebra and it’s not a remarkable feat. You may be super special doing it at 7, but not 17. The rules DO change, adults stop giving extra credit (all unknowingly) for precocious learning.

I was raised in an assemblies of god church; I remember all those teachings. But they also viewed all Lutherans (unless they spoke in tongues) as close to Catholic & hell-bound.
I wonder if these groups’ commitment to Trump overcomes their antipathy toward each other?
