Yeensy, I'm so incredibly sorry and angry this is happening. I know you are a brilliant worker and can't believe anyone would logically make this decision (they did not).

thanks! those are little things i've picked up over the years. I wish i could find the hair smudge tool source but it was a tweet some years ago - super useful! And i'm also a sucker for subsurface scattering - sometimes too much haha

I like doing the spheres to figure out values, hues, and local colors. it really helps put me in the right ballpark with my adjustment layers.

of course!Progress videos are great for looking at general steps but, imo, they don't accurately portray me getting stuck on sections. Like, I struggled with picking colors at 14s,the thigh at24s, direction/color of second light at 25s, local colors at 45s, and all of the bg. each were session ending

It's more difficult than I thought to screenshot all the brush properties but my main brushes are a soft round brush, hard brush, square brush, 1or2 textured brushes, and a blender. When using these i'll be constantly adjusting, opacity, color mixing, and color jitter -highly recommend learning these!

Definitely! I've made most of the paint brushes and blenders but I'll try to post their properties later tonight! Can't recommend learning the brush engine enough to make edits whenever you need

Here's the process. About a weeks+ worth of chipping away. Obviously super inspired by @/tfiddlerart for those specular highlights. As always, happy to answer questions

I totally feel the same way! I think it's doable with enough time and practice but it's also a clear pivot. That being said, I always love your stuff!

Yeah! I use the ball to help figure out my colors. It's when I'll find the flats, highlights, shadows, and some background colors. It helps me save a lot of time by knowing those values and hues. Although sometimes it doesn't always work, it's usually a big help
