There we go.

Smote it be.......

I would not have predicted that large universities would show more courage than either Big Law or corporate media. Good for them.

Crosswalks across Silicon Valley were hacked this weekend. Pressing the button now triggers a message impersonating Elon Musk—mocking him in the process. Videos have been circulating online all weekend. 😂

Jefferson Griffin is asking North Carolina's courts to retroactively change election rules and throw out 65k ballots so he can win a seat on the state Supreme Court. It's time for federal courts to step in and end his nonsense. www.democracydocket.com/opinion/the-...

@hayesbrown.bsky.social If she ends up before the court pushing lies, then she should be sanctioned and lose her law license.

Scary times.

I have seen a few questions regarding Democracy Docket: 1. It does not sell subscriber or member information or email addresses. 2. It is not part of Substack or ActBlue. It is fearlessly independent, unapologetically pro-democracy. Subscribe now. newsletters.democracydocket.com/all-newsletters

Just wanted to send a quick thank-you for standing with us yesterday. Everything went smoothly, and our coalition members are safe. A little good trouble goes a long way.

"If the government can disappear any people it wishes, dump them in a Salvadoran dungeon and prevent any court in this country from providing relief, we all should be very, very afraid."

Prediction: Today (4/9/25) registered the greatest ill gotten gains from insider trading in history.

I cannot overstate the importance of reading books, particularly novels by respected authors, for critical thinking skills and reading comprehension. If the big gun novelists don't interest you, start small and work your way up. Or read whatever interests you. Just read. Or listen. It's all books.

In the fight against authoritarianism, there is no stronger weapon than mass noncooperation: strikes, boycotts, etc. Protests and direct action is important, but mostly as methods of convincing large numbers of people to not comply. We can stop the regime if we refuse to cooperate with them.

We just want to say—we love all of you and are proud to call you our friends! Our coalition members have met so many incredible people while organizing and joining events. The media might not cover everything, but America is fighting back.

@maddow.msnbc.com This seems right up your alley. theconversation.com/a-1930s-move...

@lincolnproject.us my cartoon:

DEI hire..

I hope the civil servants being fired, 30% of whom are vets, will run for office and oust the Republicans complicit in their firing.

If a law firm won't risk everything to defend itself, what makes you think it will risk anything to defend you? My advice: Find a law firm that will not back down and will never bend a knee.

Billionaires = Oligarchs = Robber Barons

@theweekendmsnbc.bsky.social How about Robber Barons? Is that clear enough?

I suspect we're not far from judges getting murdered and Trump pardoning their killers. But there's no Constitutional crisis, right?

Every time you see someone powerful acting like a craven coward in the face of this authoritarian menace, let it stiffen your own spine. We are all we've got.

NEW: @marcelias.bsky.social is often asked if he's worried. “Of course I am worried,” he responds. “The president of the United States considers me an enemy and has promised retribution. I would be an idiot not to be worried. But I am not going to give in. I will continue to fight.”

Today at the DC #SaveAmericaMarch, We the People introduced ourselves to the architects of #Project2025 — The Heritage Foundation. We are many. We are loud. We are diverse & yes, sometimes a little crass. #WeAreTheFlood. We’ll flood the streets with the truth and we won’t back down. #Resist

Germany I ❤️ you. electrek.co/2025/03/14/t...

AOC FTW

I think some in the Senate have convinced themselves that the backlash to folding will be limited to “the left” and therefore ignorable. Those people are deeply and profoundly misreading the moment and the stakes. Virtually every swing district House Dem walked the plank to vote NO for a reason.
