By pedestrianising soho streets where the restaurants cafes and bars actually are which benefit more from new outdoor table space than primark and boots will. I have no more reason to go to a pedestrianised Oxford St than if it was bus only. might go less since I wouldnt be allowed to ride along it

Or cars. Taxi drivers have had a bunch of London protests too and nobody shouts about it. So just get in a few dozen cars and do a short loop between Westminster and trafalgar roundabouts for a few hours and it'll clog up those roads.

With our average electricity demand being 30GW that means all planned storage would only provide 4 hours worth of electricity for the country. We need at least a full weeks worth. Can't get rid of anyyy fossil fuel backups

They'll speed up again once they're used to it.
Just put in a few normal basic raised zebra crossings to actually slow cars down a lot permanently and make it much better for pedestrians without needing to spend many millions.

I feel like paths like this alongside all rail lines would be worth it from a rail maintenance perspective alone. No need to use up limited night engineering hours just getting to the worksite, just park up alongside it & get to work the moment the last train passes. Might cover the cost of the path

Probably the most miserable proper bike lane in the world. In between both directions of a motorway

Is the dumb law actually true where a vehicle only counts as parked where it's wheels are? So even if this blocked most of the pavement in an area where pavement parking is banned it wouldn't actually count as parked on the pavement?

Not sure if that's still happening. Feels like it's been years since they submitted the planning application for it and then radio silence ever since. Nothing on their site for years. Pretty sure the current car park contract was due for renewal too.
