This is a great point.

*28 point swing* in voters' confidence that Trump can 'make good decisions about economic policy' and once again I remind you: the economic pain has not yet begun, this is all just stock market vibes

Notable this is happening based entirely on stock market moves. Tariff price hikes, everyone knowing at least one person laid off because of the recession, business slowing everywhere, a collapse in even domestic tourism — that’s all in the *future*

On Earth Day, a reminder that our most innovative solutions must work in harmony with the natural world. As we develop AI and emerging technologies, let's ensure they amplify our capacity to protect and restore our planet, not accelerate its decline. 🌲 #EarthDay

Homework assignment for our present moment: ☑️ Get a better handle on trade policy

The thing is when it comes to the president I think people have misread ALL the signals, ALL the trends. They think he's smarter than he is; they think he's dumber than he is. Somehow there are contingents who believe he's both a loose cannon and a master strategist.

"Beyond the AI race: why global governance is the greatest innovation" Read my new blog in #AIPEX: aipolicylab.se/2025/04/08/b... I argue that AI governance is our greatest innovation challenge. #ResponsibleAI is not the finish line. It is the only viable path forward. #AIgovernance #AIethics

Lost my iPad on a plane headed to Canada. Now I’m in Vancouver and according to Find My, my iPad is back in NYC. Will we reconnect? The saga begins here 🫣

This was a really, really good discussion. If they offer a replay, it's worth a watch. Especially appreciated @annalenhart.bsky.social's extremely clear and well-justified message of alarm.

I love this. Call it a victory plan; call it Strategic Optimism as I do: "A specific tool that I’ve found critical for staying oriented and updating quickly is a detailed plan for victory, i.e., a list of steps, as concrete as possible, that end with the goal being achieved." www.benkuhn.net/pjm/

Techniques used by Amazon to disrupt organizing “include leveraging algorithmic discipline on worker devices, algorithmic slack-cutting or ‘electronic whipping,’ in which algorithms rapidly alter quotas and rules, mobile device spamming, and social media monitoring.”
