30/ Next up is Kevin McKernan, a professional engineer who SUPPORTS parking reform! He writes "there is little sound engineering which has gone into minimum parking guidelines" and goes on to point out the flaws in the ITE parking models (which WestCOG relied on.....)

19/ @seanghio.bsky.social from @pschousing.bsky.social with his usual clarity: "The negative effects to a community of excessive parking regulations are substantial." He goes on to discuss the damage parking mandates do to housing affordability across the state.

18/ Next up, @charlescgardner.bsky.social with certainly the best-researched testimony of the lot.
"With the enactment of this bill, Connecticut would become the first state to eliminate parking minimums, positioning itself as a leader in parking reform nationwide."

12/ HUGE to see support from Rich Donovan and NVCOG (and a massive counter to Francis Pickering and WestCOG): "House Bill 7061 is essential for creating more affordable, sustainable, and economically dynamic communities."

41/ Next up, @katerozen.bsky.social of Woodbridge.
Her testimony is extnesive, but this is key:
"By eliminating these one-size-fits-all regulations, this bill will allow Connecticut’s communities to implement parking policies that meet their unique needs."

It’s not clear just how widespread these problems are in the state’s criminal courts. The release of data that would shed some light on the somewhat secret world of prosecutor decision making and court operations has been blocked by the Lamont Administration.
