Was just talking with a friend about this! The understanding that what happens to them happens to us. She said it's like an emotional ride for her. A dash of bitter schadenfreude giving her fleeting relief from accepting full awareness of a brutal tragedy happening to all of us

I get the impulse to blame people for being ignorant or lazy or complacent - and many really are. But normalcy bias and the demands of everyday life will always prevail unless the severity of the situation is made legible and visible. And that task falls to the media as well as the opposition party.

Jeezus be careful! I used to travel to AZ. It's terrifying. True story: One thanksgiving my family tried to play a pick up football game in a grassy park area a block away from their house in suburban PHX. The white neighbors called the police on us and the cops sent a helicopter to kettle us.

Those QR codes could be subverted, too. Just print and stick an alternative QR that takes people to the Project 2025 tracker or something π€·ββοΈ www.project2025.observer

The accuracy of that slander! ππ― In part, I am descendent of rubes from the Azores. The accent is different and everyone pretends it is purely coincidental that the island archipelago was essentially unhabited by Portuguese people until this thing called the Spanish Inquisition. ;)

I saw your post about Dollly and Jesus sorry can't find it now but your sentiments reminded me of the Madeleine Edwards country song about her holy trinity: Mama, Dolly, Jesus. Her lyrics are chefs kiss youtu.be/3oax2JsKsDQ?...

Stunning photos. These breathtaking images remind me of the Oakland Museum of California's exhibition of Dorothea Lange photos that documented the families impacted by the injustice of Executive Order 9066.

π― I had to fly the day after the election and overheard someone lament to their travel companion "Who are these American voters who would rather have a trafficked first lady over a female president?"
