Several of the governmentās mooted changes to the ways of life of the elderly (including the above) ignore the obvious fact that as we age the physical effort and complex bureaucracy involved in, for example, means testing, or downsizing to release assets, becomes, for many, beyond reach.

Iāve been revisiting the 70s recently. Gene Hackman brilliant in The Conversation and The French Connection. A crossover with Walter Murch, editor and sound designer of The Conversation so have also been watching The Godfather 1 and 2. Al Pacino marvellous. Jane Fonda is superb in Klute. You?
