(šŸ“¢) MAJOR BREAKING NEWS: The Daily Beast publishes a sourced allegation that Trump has been a Russian spy since 1987 and thenā€”possibly under some form of threatā€”deletes it. But in an act of unusual heroism, it left it up long enough for Wayback Machine to capture it text. Here it is (please share):

Pay attention to Tim Snyder.

At what point do leaders in the GOP band together (since they seem to lack courage individually) & say enough is enough? The party of Reagan becomes the tool of Putin if they donā€™t, especially after last night.

In every single interview Iā€™ve done with international media since Trump took power Iā€™ve been asked: Why are there no mass protests? There are many reasons, of course, but the utter refusal of the self-proclaimed ā€œfourth estateā€ to communicate clearly what is happening has to be high on the list.

A defining policy battle is about to come to a head in this country. The Republican budget will force everyone - especially Congress and the White House - to make plain whether they are prepared to harm the rest of us in order to fund tax cuts for the wealthiest.

Take Russia's frozen assets now (written in December 2023, now even more urgent) www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archiv...

ā€œHereā€™s whatā€™s gonna happen next: Trump is gonna attempt to wrest control of most of our federal revenue and pour it into a ā€˜sovereign wealth fundā€™ which he will view as a personal bank account.ā€

BREAKING: Four hours after this article was published, and the accompanying video went online, Scott Curtis received an email from FEMAā€™s Office of the Chief Human Capital Officer telling him his firing was being reversed.

šŸ“¢ Federal agencies that keep our food & medicine safe, our air & water clean, and corporations in check are already understaffed. Cutting more workers lets billionaires rake in profits while Americans pay the price. āœŠ Take action: go.savepublicservices.com #SaveOurServices

"Most Americans donā€™t want to believe that their government is taking lifeĀsaving medicine away from sick people in Africa, or betraying Afghans who sacrificed for this country" But it is. www.theatlantic.com/magazine/arc...

When you consider that the men who orchestrated the gutting of reproductive rights knew itā€™d kill untold numbers of women and nevertheless worked really really really hard to make sure those rights were taken away and those women killed, Iā€™d say they should definitely be seen as having a body count

I've been seeing lots of super compelling videos of park rangers and federal lawyers and other federal workers telling their stories. Talking about what they did at their job, how it helped the American people, and why they want to keep doing those jobs. This is the way.

Looks like spending the night involuntarily at Denver airport (yet again), and bags who knows where, because of 'traffic management program' that will make us miss connection to west coast. I personally think this is a great time to be cutting staff at FAA. Thanks Doge! /s

Last night I attended the Save Our Services rally in New York City. Listen to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) fighting for people & federal workers: ā€œEvery day our job is to wake up and say ā€˜what can I do today?ā€™ ā€” There is no act too small. Every action matters.ā€ @aoc.bsky.social

I donā€™t often feel rage. That said, Iā€™ve been getting pretty damn close, watching one of the few truly warrior like heroes in the world of leadershipā€¦Zelenskyā€¦being rat fucked by two of the biggest pieces of shit on the planet.

For every $1 the IRS spends auditing the top 1%, it can collect $13. For every $1 the IRS spends auditing the top 0.1%, it can collect $26. Laying off 7,000 IRS employees (during tax season) isn't about efficiency. It's about making it easier for the rich to evade taxes.

Current American foreign policy is about draining power from the US and its allies, thereby creating atmospherics in which Donald Trump feels good and Elon Musk converts lost state capacity into personal profit. The weakness, in other words, is the point. snyder.substack.com/p/affirmativ...

Trump likes being #2, he likes doing the PR work, being in front of the camera, getting the adulation, but serving the boss. Musk will dominate him at home and Putin will dominate him abroad. He will deliver their lines, as he has just done for Putin in shocking fashion, and does for Musk every day.

We need to save some smoke for voters. Trump was very clear during the campaign that he planned to settle Russia's war on Ukraine quickly and on Putin's terms. 77 million people voted for him anyway, and now he's following through. American voters sold out our ally.

Disgusting toxic trash. Trump is a real tough guy, banging out Truth Social posts from his golf cart at a guy who has fought off a murderous drug-addled barbarian horde for 3 years defending his people from Russian rapists and child kidnappers.

šŸ“¢ ā€œHeā€™s trying to steal Medicaid to enrich himself. Heā€™s gutting NASA to line his pockets with SpaceX. Heā€™s looting everything good in America for private profit.ā€ - @aoc.bsky.social at todayā€™s #SaveOurServices NYC rally. The fight isnā€™t over. Join us: go.savepublicservices.com

If Trump wants to see elections in Ukraine, all he has to do is use the power he keeps talking about to get the Russian invaders off Ukrainian soil. Then martial law in Ukraine ends, and elections will follow.

Donald Trump has reportedly spent an estimated $10.7 million worth of taxpayer money to play golf since his inauguration. This is happening as Head Start programs have struggled to access previously approved federal funding due to the Trump admin's illegal impoundment. Hello?

Trump's latest executive order puts independent agencies ā€” including the FTC, SEC, and NLRB ā€” under his direct control. It's a blatant attempt to shield his corporate donors and his own business from agencies that hold the powerful accountable. This is an alarming power-grab.
