Despite a few health issues, ulcerated eyes which I am treating, she’s living her best life once again and loves her new big brown friend. No cat on the horizon as Jack Russells are not the greatest with them, but things are sometimes meant to be.

Meanwhile my sister told me about a little 8yr old dog who had been left in a house after her owner had died, and her next owner, his daughter had also died. She was in a house in limbo, being fed and let out once a day. We made a mercy dash of 100 miles.

Beautiful skies as always. This is a story of hope - my little cat died after 18(ish) years a few months ago and I set about looking for another. There are many reasons cat rescue won’t allow adoptees to rehome including that they own a gentle choc lab who’s lived with his old cat from puppy-hood.

Oh Laine I’m so sorry. She was your little ray of sunshine on those walks. I know how awful it is to lose a friend you’ve had for years. I’m sure I mentioned that my little cat died a few months back after 18 happy years. Even Harry my lab was at a loss. I hope you feel a tiny bit reconciled soon. 💕

10 days post op Laine. It bit of brain fog and not a lot of sleep at night but knee is on the mend.
I hope you’re okay.

Our ivy flowers in the hedge are splendid and the bees have found them. We don’t cut it at this point in the year.

When I was a head I once used PP to raise primary pupils’ aspirations by taking them to several work environments and the local FE college to have a look at courses. Broadened their horizons. But just one way of using it.

Yes that’s what I think. Just getting used to it. Much nicer. 😄

Susan Pinker (sister of Steven) wrote The Village Effect which is very good. About relationships, face to face contact and longevity, caring for each other and success, wellbeing and good health. Can help create a good school environment.

Mine are ridiculous. I’m airfry slow roasting them.

They look brilliant. My onions were disappointingly small. Tomatoes in the other hand ….

My goodness! It was beautiful and so tidy and organised. My garden is a scruffy weedfest.

I love the clink of milk bottles. I still have my milk delivered in bottles. More expensive but recycled bottles and the ‘on the step’ ethos is pleasingly reminiscent. I sometimes spot the milkman’s torch as he quietly pops the milk on the step at 4am. Very reassuring.

Oh my goodness - even in balmy Suffolk! I spent 20 minutes tidying the greenhouse of old dead plant stalks and that was enough!

We went for the thick cut dark recipe. That's another year's supply made. The house smells divine.

I’ve been on both for and while but forgot them over Christmas. I’m making an effort to follow people who have an interest in gardening, books and primary education. I followed you on the dark side!!

Still on episode 9 - I forgot for a few days. It is good though and love Toby Jones as the Walker. (Also forgot about Bluesky and Twitter 😂)

A definite. I’m not great with audio books but I’ll persevere.
