Oh my gosh all of the “school should just be safe for all kids” comments. NO ONE IS SAYING IT SHOULD NOT BE. Schools are particularly hostile for queer and trans kids, ESPECIALLY now (and any other minority/anyone who is different). I pushed my queerness down until I was 30 because of it.

So was she going in and getting other treatments and saying they were chemo or something?? I also get infusions for my migraines and hospitalizations for other chronic stuff and yes they always are VERY clear about what they are giving me.

I’m near that highlighted area; I’m fairly near the Lake Erie islands and less than 45 minutes from the border to Michigan in USA, northern Ohio - was a purple state but increasingly deep red 😭 but I work in Mi and am planning on buying a home even closer or over the border soon.

indoor warm water therapy pool at the Y today or tomorrow, but if I don’t, at least some activity at home is the goal! I know doing light stretching and cardio does make me feel better, but it’s such a delicate balance with my chronic illnesses.

stretching/movement app where you can schedule brief (starting @ 3-5 min) activity breaks through the day, and my goal this week is to do 3-5 every day as long as I’m not flaring. I’m very sedentary due to my chronic pain, & i really want to work on that. I also hope to make it to the

That happened after my hysterectomy! My doctor called it the “danger zone” - when I felt better and healthier than I had in years (2-4 weeks out) but my stitches were beginning to wear out and my tissues hadn’t fully grown back together yet. It’s such a hard time mentally bc you want to overdo it!

So according to this admin it’s not ok when trans people take testosterone or other hormones (or, really, exist as their true selves at all), but it’s ok that RFK - the man who wants to put people in camps for using ssris and pain meds - does it. Noted, love the hypocrisy as always.

What is wrong with all the press lately. Y’all were the first ones to crumble when the admin changed. If we can’t trust journalists to call a nazi salute a nazi salute what the hell can we trust you for.

nothing wrong with either, I know. So I’m trying to be more flexible.

partner jumps right into relating and I have to remember that she’s not trying to be dismissive of me; she’s trying to relate to me. But it’s just such a different communication style - I really want to be acknowledged first, as I taught myself to do, and THEN related to. But there’s logically

I am actually autistic, but this is something I struggle with - I’ve masked for so long that my default reaction is to ALWAYS say something to acknowledge the other person first (aww that sucks; can I get you any Motrin; etc.) before I say anything about myself or a similar experience; where my

This is interesting because I always heard that LOST was the one show that they already knew when it would end and they had it all planned out, and was renewed up to that point because of its success. So this feels more like “bonus content didn’t happen” than a true cancellation.

No problem! I seriously just lucked upon them - but I do love having real reviews to read; they’re so much more helpful than just scores to me.

Go to a book, scroll down to here, click where circled, find secret real reviews!!

I forget six times a day how to even get into the actual reviews for StoryGraph. Not my favorite interface. I also have both and am trying to prioritize StoryGraph; I also don’t love storygraph’s reliance on AI over growing their staff. But I’d still much rather support them.

Oh my gosh 😭 are they able to get it back? That’s so awful; that much money is like, all I would have to spend other than for bills for a month. Demoralizing definitely covers it. Im so sorry about your husband as well.

I’m hearing that greasy and salty and spicy works for most people and that’s what sounds really good to me so I ordered enchiladas and a soda from a local place!

I also have developed a very recent love for skincare, inspired by my preteen daughter, and I think it’s a good thing. The world is on fire, and we work in fields that are being directly threatened, as are my identities. Skincare is something I can deeply control.

Thank you friend. It’s been a really tough one. I have a lot of important work stuff tomorrow so I do hope it has worn off more!! They’re so annoying because I feel so helpless and I hate basically not being able to do anything.

I’m in a Midwest state that was solidly purple and is turning deep red before my eyes; trying to get back to Michigan which is at least still purple - but if we didn’t have family considerations and wanted to stay in the Midwest, MN would be great!

That’s what I’m doing too. Focusing on what I can control. Posting about books, disability stuff, my cats, the little day to day things that bring joy to me. Finding joy in this time is super important to me. I think you’re being very wise!

I’m sorry so much has been going down. Social media should be a place to stay informed and make friends, not a place of drama and extra demands on us. We neurotypical/chronically ill people already have enough demands! I love following you 💕

The fact that he only voted against some of Trump’s abhorrent cabinet nominees because he clearly knew he wouldn’t run again is the reason we need term limits. If repugnantican senators/reps weren’t butt kissing to be re-elected, maybe they’d vote more based on what their constituents want & need.
