How could any US citizen over 70 not know about D-Day â and most especially the president of the US? He is such an embarrassment.

Good for Ukraine. President Zelensky is playing 3-D chess while FOTUS is odd man out.

"Only the finest people."
I hope we live long enough to recover from this nightmare.

This is murder; at the very least manslaughter. Above all, life-saving meds like rescue asthma inhalers, epinephrine, and insulin should be covered NO MATTER WHAT. Even before trying to fix our wretchedly broken system, our lawmakers must declare that emergency medications must be covered.

I am so sorry for your many losses. I've never understood how some people can be so clueless as to wish people happy Memorial Day and for stores to promote sales.

I am having a drink and remembering. I know they all would want you to as well. We remember them with love. I saw this marker at Jefferson Barracks. It is a beautiful tribute. Remember the fallen. #MemorialDay

I could go on. Too many to count after 22-years in uniform and 4 combat tours. This doesnât even count my wife and unborn child that were killed in a car accident while I sat in a stupid training meeting with my toxic boss. This is who I think of on Memorial Day. This is why we donât say âHappy.â

Colonel Ali was my partner and trainee at the Iraqi Joint Headquarters during my last tour in Baghdad. He was a brave man. He was assassinated when he stepped out of his house in Baghdad in 2010.

Sheik (LTC) Raad was a local village leader who stepped up to help secure the region. He was given a battalion in the Iraqi Army and was a ferocious and feared warrior. The Iraqi Army took away his command in 2008 because he wasnât school trained. He was assassinated by IS in 2014. He was a good man

Dr. Mohammed Al-Haza was a sheik in my sector around Q-West. He was my partner as we helped local villages, built schools, and a clinic for him. He was my dear friend and taught me everything. He was blown up in 2006 but survived only to be executed in the clinic I built for him in 2012 by IS.

My father John E.J. Wellman lied about his age to join the Marines just as WWII ended. He didnât see combat but still said things like using the âheadâ and âhitting the deckâ until he passed at 81 and is buried with my mom in Jefferson Barracks.

My uncle Harvey Francis Wellman was a PFC in the Marine Corps and my dadâs younger brother and was killed in combat in Korea in 1951. He participated in the Inchon landing, the âFrozen Chosin Reservoirâ fighting retreat and was killed during the counter offensive against the Chinese.

My uncle Lt. Frank âPaulâ Jannarone was my momâs brother. He lost his life when his B-47 flew into a mountain in Vermont in 1958. The aircraft was crash prone and its believed ATC misidentified them and had them descend too soon in clouds. He was a graduate of Princeton.
