The capitalist idea that we need to *change our clocks* in order to enjoy later sunset, rather than adjust a rigid 9-to-5 schedule is so ridiculous.

No no no no! Don't make it permanent! Make it go away!! Let solar noon be noon (give or take a little bit depending on where you are in a ridiculously large time zone.)

Considering how they all have staffers, they could and should have someone on staff who is good at it.

We've been to this rodeo before! BTD ripped out the concrete on Mass Av by Boston Medical Center when the police didn't like how many drivers smashed into the bike lane concrete barriers
Why are our lives less important than scratched paint cars?

BTD has also removed the flexposts on top of the concrete barriers. Why? Are the barriers themselves next?
Lord knows I'm not the biggest flexpost fan ( #RIPFlexposts ) but they seem like helpful visual delimiters so drivers don't plow into concrete

Compare this to further south past the mall where you can see the type of flexpost protection strips that were ripped out. Once this is gone there is very little to prevent drivers from doing whatever, wherever

Here are some places where there was flexpost installation around intersections that is now gone
It seems weird to me that they left in the flexposts that divided car lanes but ripped them out where bikers are vulnerable to turning drivers. What's the rationale @jfh01.bsky.social ?

But it's still hard for pedestrians to cross the street. There's no signal at this crosswalk so people just have to wait until a driver feels like stopping
At least with one lane in each direction only one car needs to stop in each direction. This is a great use of flex posts to narrow the road

This project also made pedestrian improvements including floating bus stops and shorter crossing times in some places

Mass Av between Melnea Cass and Columbia Rd is a crucial link in the #BostonBikeNetwork and is a great protected and separated two way bikeway on the west side of the street.
Biking there you don't conflict with either highway traffic or the South Bay Mall traffic

Actual fact: I hate daylight savings time, and would stay on standard time forever happily if we could.

Maybe not with the machine-generated art, though. Aside from the fact that "AI" art is based on large-scale theft, the ecological impact is staggering. And if the ethical implications aren't enough, it's tacky.

Here is the archived version of Indivisible's explainer before they polluted it with stupid stuff.
Like there it is. It's a very clear and obvious blueprint.

As someone who works in the payments industry, I gotta say, paying with cash for as much as you can, for as long as you can, en masse, is a great idea. Banks, processors and Visa/MC all take interchange fees on every card/token transaction. Starve them of millions, just by not using your cards.
