We have a king who has just put a tariff on tea and I feel like there's some really basic American iconography that opposition parties could take advantage of here

Anyone want to help out with a light-hearted family debate? Did you read encyclopedias as a kid? A. Yes and I'm Nero divergent B. No and I'm Nero divergent C. Yes and I'm Nero typical D. No and I'm Nero typical

You know what? That trip to the library can wait...

Starting trade wars to make it easier to take over the government was literally the plot to the Star Wars prequels.

I'm sure that these two books my roommate and I checked out from the library independently and without consulting each other say absolutely nothing about the current political climate...

Fascinating, and informative thread

I think I'm gonna collect all of the shitty tracts people leave at my work and turn them into an art piece called ""discipleship""

Bestie and I just came to the conclusion that Picard is an unwilling warlock with Q as his trickster fey patron. The conversations in this house never cease to be incredibly nerdy.

This bit of dialogue in the game Grounded reminds me very much of @irahall.bsky.social

I think this is what's been bugging me about the discourse I've seen on bsky. Older adults have been like "if you celebrate the death or any person than you have lost a key part of your humanity." Which like yes, I understand that, but for a lot of us young people our give a damn is busted. 1/2

One of my players just admitted that "my goal for every time we play is to get you to be half laughing half crying so you have to do that thing where you take your glasses off and rub your eyes before you respond" GMing is not for the faint of heart. Sigh *takes my glasses off and rubs my eyes*

My family always laughs at me when I talk about this. To know the phenomenon has a name makes me feel vindicated. www.mcgill.ca/oss/article/...

It's finally happened. After two years of gameplay, I had to throw all my PC's in jail due to a steak out turned political kidnapping gone bad. They were excitedly chanting jail break as we ended the session though so I think they'll be ok. #DnD

So I DM for a few friends. Tonight we had this interaction. Player: why would we need disguises? We just need a change of clothes. Me: Says the 10 foot tall jackal man, but ok.

So thankful for my dad, who, when he found out one of my female coworkers had been being harassed by some dude in the parking lot, drove to my place of work and walked me out to my car at end of shift. ❀️

Pre morning tea thought: Is A Bugs Life just Les Mis for kids?

My best friend just insinuated that in a few years I'll be as cool as Alfred Pennyworth and although I don't think she understands the scope of Alfred's coolness, it is still one of the greatest compliments I've ever received.

Choose 20 books that have stayed with you or influenced you. One book per day for 20 days, in no particular order. No explanations, no reviews, just covers. (Except I can't remember to post something everyday for 20 days so I'm doing batches) πŸ’™πŸ“š #BookSky #Books #BookChallenge 9-12

Work frequently makes me feel poetic. The passing strangers, the way the light comes in through the windows. But today the poems are of a different nature Toilet over flow Oh God now there's three of them Please send a plumber I tape my sign up Out of order, toilet busted Oh no I'm out of signs
