Isn't it funny how being burned out also means you have no energy to apply to other jobs while being unhappy where you're employed currently? 🙃

Beginning to get a hang of my new gear ☺️ #photography #canon #birds

Imagine being so insecure that you hold most of the earth’s resources- you could single-handedly end world hunger, do massive dent in advancing cancer research. And instead you vow to rip apart government and tech employment and infrastructure, and lie about playing video games.

Was able to capture several gorgeous in-flight photos of a heron from pretty up close, cant wait to edit & share 🥰 Quite literally walked close to it, found a distance where heron could still tolerate me, sat and waited. Some couple w a dog than scared it & I got lucky shots!

Every artist I know is really struggling right now. Financially, emotionally, their confidence, in general. If you like an artist's work, support them any way you can. Buying their stuff or subscribing to their Patreon is great, but words of encouragement are also incredibly helpful.

“i think you’ve overestimated your contributions, and underestimated your blessings” is a banger of a line to use on techbros

Meta has always been a shitty company doing shitty things for society as a whole www.businessinsider.com/meta-approve... . Honestly if you have an account, close it.

Haha what if I start to sell prints of my wildlife photography & then I can claim this really expensive camera as a necessary business tax expense

Why did I read LinkedIn posts again, too many people I want to tell to fuck off into the sun...

High anxiety kind of day

Apple has decided to stop providing encryption to iCloud users in the UK to address the request from the UK government to provide backdoors to the service. Better no security than a false sense of one.

Realizing that the US/bay area isn’t my final destination is comforting. A weight from my shoulders, especially considering I can’t afford a house even on a tech salary. Shedding some societal expectations without even realizing.

NEW: Retailers like Walmart and Target that have rolled back their DEI efforts have seen a big drop in foot traffic, while Costco, a company that continues to invest in DEI, has seen more foot traffic. While correlation doesn't equal causation, still intriguing. www.retailbrew.com/stories/2025...

Happy Black History Month

Really unfortunate how all the things we buy lose their value almost instantly. I’m tempted to avoid buying things in new condition for upcoming years. Starting with buying r5 + rf 100-500mm on fb marketplace, saving 1/3 of the cost compared to buying it new.

Perfect example of a company wanting to piss off its paying customers. Either don’t offer phone support, or charge for it. But if you offer it, do it well. HP cannot make up its mind so opted for offering terrible phone support, misleading customers as it does.

In my head I pronounce “rspec” as “respect”

American Airlines, Delta, JetBlue, Southwest, and United... Five airlines I will never ever ever ever ever fly with again.
