The fact that there's no limitation on how the Vivi mana gets used is just icing on the busted cake

This would be really good in a Henzie Toolbox Torre deck

To be fair, I actually have accidentally blown pieces off the table by exhaling too deeply after a stressful cut, so you're not far off.
Also thank you lovebug 💞

My take is that he's just a nerd about everything and would obsess over the best way to approach anything he does, plus he'd be too prideful to let himself be known as a bad lover

Thank you so much! I'm really happy with this one so far, but I'll have to put another pause on it since I need like 4 more copies of the card :/ Oh well!

Oh 100% agreed. Infinity Elemental's only flaw was being silver bordered so most brewers ignored it. This is the closest we've gotten in "legal" casual magic.

Thank you so much! I'm trying to push through the barriers & just work on something, even if it's not the most urgent project. Usually that helps me break into the right mind space & start working on the urgent projects too.

Anyone who's played Unstable limited and played against an Infinity Elemental knows how beatable this is. Infinity Elemental is slightly better than this though since it's got infinite power all the time

My last backlog project is probably the easiest, and definitely the oldest. And also the stupidest.
Almost 3 years ago I started this project. And then I ran out of copies. And for three fucking years, every time I'd make a card order, I'd just. Forget to grab the four extra copies I needed. Lmao.

Another non-shafowbox project I haven't finished is this red dragon mini from Pathfinder. God's, I had so many cool plans for this guy. But I accidentally laid on the black spray coat a bit thick and then a bunch of hair dried onto the sticky heavy coat. But I CAN still finish it, and I do plan to!

Shifting back to non-MTG stuff, there's this beautiful piece I've been wanting to send a loved one as a gift for almost a year and a half now, but... The flower petals. The fucking. Flower petals.
Also, I don't know if this is in print anymore and I might need more copies to finish it.

Have you ever seen a piece of art and just *needed* to see it as a 3D shadowbox? Yeah, that happened to me with exactly two cards from Neon Dynasty: Sunblade Samurai (which became my most famous piece), and this card. I always intended to finish this as a twin of the first, but... No. I'll do this.

Next is probably the one I most want to finish, but least want to assemble.
The coin on the alt-art Cptn Lannery Storm looks incredible textured, and I want to make the rest of the card around it 3D to showcase it. But I've done this frame before. It *sucks* to cut & assemble. Zero motivation.

Next up is Borborygmos Enraged. Yup.
So, years ago when I first started my Borby foil textured deck, I wanted the commander to be 3D. The problem is Borby's art is awful for 3D.
It stuck there unfinished for years until 3 months ago I had the idea to fuse the text of Borby with the And Fblthp art.

My next backlog is Boba Fett from the first set of Star Wars Unlimited.
Almost a year ago now I ran into a bit of a snag with the fact I'd be flipping him upside down most games & my work wouldn't be visible.
I've actually found a solution for that since then, so I'm excited to pick this up soon!

As a side note, these shelves are kind of my Wall of Shame. It's where the majority of my backlog projects live and where they (until recently) went to die.
At least I had the forethought to keep them in a relatively dust-free space.

My first backlog project isn't a 3D alter at all. This is a super limited print run of a rad kinky demon in a reading nook & I love it.
I got it as a gift from the amazing @shoshiesminis.bsky.social but I've never assembled or painted anything as detailed as it and I stalled on takeoff.
Someday...

It *does* feel less good knowing that I've got enough backlogged personal projects that I could probably work on them exclusively for a year or two before I got fully caught up.

I am honored to introduce you to this new staple condiment on nearly everything
If you've got an H-mart or Chinatown market nearby, it'll be there. There are other types of chili oil in the same brand, so make sure it says Spicy Chili Crisp. The others are great, but not nearly the same.

Oooh, you are a foodie after my own heart
Bitter, spicy, tangy, sour, perfect. My only suggestion (not even a critique, just a "try this out") would be spicy chili crisp. That stuff is otherworldly.

Oooh yeah. I wonder if it's similar to the sauce that a local hot dog place in Utah uses. They're called J-Dawgs and have a sweet & tangy sauce they use that is ADDICTIVE. They're famous enough that there are copycat recipes online.

Ooooh yes, that sounds awesome! Cheese on a hot dog is seriously underutilized outside of a chili dog, and fancier cheeses only sound even better! Sounds like the perfect plan for a butterflied griddle-cooked dog
