I'm 58 he/him, not sporty, more geeky with diverse interests, and a well socialized introvert. Feeling nostalgia more and more, lately, even for Journey and Kansas, my wayward son.

I think I had their samurai dog. So much wasabi.

How funny that I go to check this feed and the top post is about a federal politician, not the one I just posted. I remove posts with the full names of politicians. I will also filter out less common last names, like those starting with Polie.

So here we are, with my bias on what to see about Calgary when doom-exhausted. I'm happy to share the feed or for anyone to copy it and do whatever they want. I've excluded some current events, like the G7, several provincial, federal, and US politicians, poli tags and party acronyms.

No worries! There were so many people I immediately knew who to follow! Thanks again to you and your mom for hosting Crafternoon. I enjoyed the energy.

The front door is locked. Is there another entrance?

Story of life in Alberta. My whole life I've been surrounded by people who would never fail to vote for their party, regardless of how the govt behaves. I firmly believe every incumbent party earns a time out, now and then.

Great, thank you! It'll be fun to see what crafts people are into.

This looks great! Is it mainly for LGBTQ+ folks, or would it be cool if I join with my sock knitting project?

That guy is 6'5" and runs 10km a day. He lives an hour up the highway.

Lol, I wonder what I said to end up there. It is an ongoing good time! Cheers!

I agree. Whoever is behind it has been successful in getting media, including the BBC, to cover it. We don't need to amplify it further.

Socks suit my attention span. 😂 I can not have more than one project on the go for the same reason.

Oh man, I totally forgot these at the Calgary Stampede midway! Always wanted one.

Thank you! I found untwisting the yarns to be the irritating part of two at a time socks.

This is such a cool idea! Love it!

That sinking feeling when you throw a rock with a dead handle. 🥌

I'm a Gen X man whose interests are broad but don't run to automobiles or sport ball games.

Indeed, and knitting two-at-a-time is my way of keeping this brain from the temptation to push me over the brink of sanity.

That's great, thank you! I'll keep me eye on their website for their next one.

Is there such a group? I'd like to join some forum for local knitters. I'd also like to find an in-person group that is inclusive. I saw a group that said it was for specifically women.

Southern neighbours, we love you, but you gotta clean up your mess so that we can let bygones be bygones. Only you can clean up that filthy contamination. The time for embarrassment and apologies has passed. Now is the time for determination, action.

You bet! The hook is on standby and never makes it back into the bag.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one self-medicating with yarn.
comment in response to post
Ya, yarn only gives me occasional headaches.

Haha, thanks. Not the first or last of course. Just a wee bump to remind me to count more often and turn up the lights!
