The answer, of course, is that this is about ego. Hanomansing and Hobson felt sleighted that people had the audacity to point out the flaws in their program, and rather than address these issues, they opted to portray the same public they claim to represent as fringe or crazy. 13/?

Journalists have a responsibility to seek expert and informed sources for their stories. Kevin O'Leary has no qualifications to discuss the legal, foreign policy, or historical contexts of this situation. This is not a matter of opinion. It is a fact. He does not know any of these issues. 9/?

That was family day funding (which happens during Heritage Week). Since 2014 there’s been ~$250k for orgs across BC to put on free events for communities. The province cut it altogether this year

A lot of people have very different perspectives, but my refusal to take arrests has to do with my skepticism about the actual force of the constitutional and legal rights in this police society, and as we are watching those evaporate, I think this perspective has become much more urgent
