We don't normally try to divide kids' sports by every possible advantage. If it's unfair to compete against a trans kid, surely it's unfair to compete against a kid who's an inch taller or 10 pounds heavier, but no one insists on a separate league for all the 15-year-olds between 5'4" and 5'5".

The number of trans athletes is *miniscule* and in most cases a separate league is a de facto ban. Track and field is at least feasible, but there are probably not enough trans players in a given *county* to field a baseball or basketball team.

if an accidentally unbiased review commissioned by the [checks notes] utah GOP found “plentiful data, no regret,” that’s probably a sign that trans healthcare should remain accessible for the hundreds of thousands of trans people the GOP wants to take it from.
please call. tell your senator that.🏳️⚧️

utah’s study found the best thing a doctor can do for a trans person (trans kids especially) is help them transition!
you might’ve heard about the UK cass review or RFK’s HHS report saying different—they ignored all available evidence.
even the rest of the british medical assoc. called bullshit!🧵

What get's labeled a "junk food" is a value judgement that does not take into account non-normative bodies — chronically ill and disabled people are excluded.
It's yet more eugenicist shit from this regime. And there are a great many in public health land who will gladly go along with it.

Some places to give:
- I have it on good authority that Americares is getting supplies in tho it's hard: www.americares.org/emergency-pr...
- PCRF: www.pcrf.net
- WCK has no supplies to cook in Gaza but will presumably resume there when they do: donate.wck.org/give/499865/...

In February, Thailand, China, and Myanmar cooperated to arrange the release of 7000 trafficking victims from Myawaddy. They are still in detention, mostly in Mae Sot, Thailand, because of difficulties in repatriation. apnews.com/article/myan...

So-called “lockdowns” were never about the “Haves” lounging while the “Have Nots” suffered. They were a desperate, temporary attempt to slow mass death in a system that refused to provide actual material support. The real “Haves” were the capitalists who fought to reopen.

There is a fabulous portal set up by our friends at @transequality.bsky.social that will send a message directly to your senators based on the zip code you enter. Do this now. Literally right now, not in a few minutes. It takes a few seconds to personalize your message and send.

More pertinently, it means the Congressional budget (which applies across all ages) doesn't shut down some super special insurance coverage that only trans people can access--it adds a new policy prohibiting us from accessing the same coverage it readily permits cisgender people to access
