Shame is an effective tool for social change. I don’t think it should be THE tool for political change and definitely shouldn’t come from the top of the dems. But the rest of us who DIDN’T fall for this shit have a right to be mad and expect them to sit in their guilt and reflect.

I don’t know about the other two, but there is no way Bost would get on a debate stage. He won’t even host an in person town hall.

I’m enjoying this series, but I have a question that maybe you could cover in a future episode. (And maybe you have & I missed it. Sorry!)
What was the point of the Nazi’s using “socialist” in their name if the were not at all. I mean, besides just lying to people. Do you have any more context?

I don’t think that many Catholics inside of the U.S. will be offended. Trump has already convinced many of them that he is a better Catholic than Pope Francis was.
Trump becoming Pope would reduce any residual guilt for their behavior. Win/Win.

✋🏼 formerly vaccine hesitant; this thread is 💯 accurate. Exhaust mothers, tell them it’s their responsibility to research, which most people don’t know how to do, scare the shit out of them, make sure they are sleep deprived and exposed by the lack of a communal culture. Bam. Unvaccinated kids.

I have no doubt that it exists in pockets. But the claim is: “”ordinary people with normal jobs” camp, the language absolutely changed and you had no say in it.” This “thing” is not a thing and more a blip.
I live in the most ordinary area with beyond normal jobs. FWIW.

Just listed my mother in law’s estate and I have yet to receive my formal letter from my realtor informing me I can’t use the term Master Bedroom.
Never came up, not once.
BECAUSE IT ISN’T AN ACTUAL THING!!!

You know Schumer is freaking out right now because he might have backed himself into a corner.
His next interview will be “I meant cases that were granted cert. NOT the shadow docket.”

Is this when Chuck Schumer expects us to rise up?

The only upside about this is an alternative timeline where all the white supremacists drive EVs, just to stick it to the libs.

There’s a line from Hamilton where King George sings “I’ll kill your friends family, to remind you of my love”.
Over/under on how close we are to him quoting this, claiming he came up with it, and then dropping a bomb on a random liberal suburb where some mayor made fun of his dick size?

The Supreme Court suuuuuuucks.
Alito and Thomas are probably drafting their concurrences at this very moment.
Gorsuch, Coney Barrett, and Kavanaugh are FedSoc hacks and know who buttered their bread.

Not sure about France or UK, but in the US, they are really the party of Meritocracy. They believe that they are in god ordained roles because of their hard work and if you do not have power, it’s because you are lazy, suck, and deserve it all. “Law & Order” is merely a front for their distain.

I struggle with what I can do that will REALLY help, but I just ordered 5 copies from Bookshop dot org - one for our family and four for random Free Little Libraries around my rural, deep red county.
Maybe I’m crazy, but maybe little acts of resistance and support add up.

Having taken multiple 6-10 hour trips with toddlers, every minute counts.
I think it would also be amazing if these fast chargers were set up at parks or green spaces. Taking a break, just to walk around The Walmart is less a break, more like a self inflicted headache.

I am imaging some very dark back rooms where those in charge of the institutions are gleefully declaring “we don’t have to pretend anymore!”

No survivor owes us anything, but when using her story in pursuit of power, she DOES owe other survivors support and authenticity.
I have trouble believing that this will result in any meaningful change for people who also have been assaulted, or for those who feel empowered to assault.

I’ve never thought much of NM.
I think more survivors of sexual assault being in power would make the world more fair.
But NM is missing the mark. She supported a convicted rapist’s bid for presidency, and when asked about it, she flipped it back and accused the interviewer of shaming her.

Who are these experts?
Did anyone check the called I.D.??
Can anyone account for Stephen Miller’s whereabouts during this time?! “Nothing to see here, folks! Look! A squirrel!”
