A clear message to other states/organizations:
Fall in line or pay the price.
Why does that sound so familiar??

In a healthy information environment, he would never have been elected the first time.

AI is their vision of what will allow them to rid themselves of all those pesky humans.

I'm happy to hear they're not sugar-coating the message. Although, whatever they said will probably prove to fall short of the eventually reality of harm.

I've got an idea! Let's cut funding to the organizations responsible for either doing or funding major scientific research activities! That should REALLY boost the number of innovations!
I'm case you can't tell, there is a **tiny** bit of sarcasm here...

They don't want anyone to be qualified to call bullshit on their stupid ideas.

It took me watching the video a few times to truly appreciate what happened. It looks like there was a 10+ foot slippage-however much it was, that's amazing!

I hope you're right.
I fear that the takeover will be silent and the majority of voters won't care enough to revolt.

After he was elected in 2015, I said "if he's reelected, we've seen the end of free and fair elections." I feel that more fervently than ever.

I have never understood why another person's sexuality is such a threat. Live your life and let others live theirs.
Well, I do understand it's all about control and having an "other" to focus people's hate.

I've being tagging @bsky.app asking for this for a long time. Some things just aren't heart-worthy.

I guess that's what I get for disparaging the AI overlords.

Yep. Illegal as hell, but this administration doesn't care. They're going to push the boundaries until someone stops them. SCOTUS is our last resort. I'm not holding my breath.

There are lots of places where AI usage is acceptable. Victim impact statements is not one of them. This would be HIGHLY prejudicial and doesn't reflect the victims position (sadly, he's dead)

Shocking! Truly shocking!
At least it would have been shocking prior to the King of Corruption taking up residence at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

There used to be a First Amendment that protected citizens (and corporations are citizens) from government restrictions on free speech. Like so much else that "used to be" that seems to have flown the coop.

No sympathy here, either. Just lamenting that the ones most responsible always manage to escape unscathed.

You can tell some of these folks have never HAD to work a job to feed their family ...
"State Sens. Mike Moser of Columbus and Kathleen Kauth of the Millard area said that if workers wanted a higher wage, they needed to work for it."

Short-term gain for a small subset of people. Long-term pain for the planet.

“We are at a loss for why the legislature is pursuing these changes.”
I think it's pretty clear. They want to make it difficult to vote. Especially for black and brown and rural voters.
Getting to a polling place doesn't sound difficult-unless you don't have a car, have to work every hour you can

That applies ONLY when they're not in control. Look at the past 40 years (since Reagan) and see if you notice a pattern. Then look up the "Two Santa Claus Theory" theory.
