A wingtip or loafer is both classic and perfect for the style for a reason. You can always embroider or brogue it the fuck out it you want to make it pop some extra.

There are very few “wrong ways” to read this film, unless you’re proactively being obtuse and purposely ignoring the text in the film itself to fit your own argument/viewpoint

It’s what made this film so fun and brilliant. I’ve watched it 5 times and had a new take on relationships between the characters based on the slightest things like how the actors eye twitch or corner of their mouth curled during certain scenes/dialogue
