What really sucked was we didn't get to get the payback. In 2021 the Dodgers wouldn't have made the playoffs with 106 wins if it was the old rules. Instead they got in and beat us in the playoffs.

My absolute favorite time of the season, teams fighting for their playoff lives. I vividly remember 1980, Los Angeles needed a 3 game sweep of Houston to win the West.
