Three #referees from the 1984-85 season issuing cautions to players. Note there was no yellow card shown,between 1981 and 1987 cards weren't in use in England. The refs pictured are Trevor Jones, Tony Ward (a future Premier League ref) & Norman Wilson.

What a load of nonsense this announcement idea is where #referees announce a decision has been changed after a VAR review. The goals ruled in the EFL Cup Semi-Final didn't need the ref to tell supporters what they already knew - the goals were Offside!

I see Atwell took the easy way out after West Ham defenders were man handling, pushing & shirtpulling while defending a corner by giving West Ham a freekick instead of giving Chelsea a penalty! Pathetic by Atwell. @no1lino.bsky.social
