I promise it is possible to oppose a genocide being committed in another country without using racial slurs and without threatening mass retributive killings of people based purely on shared ethnicity and not on political beliefs! This should not be difficult! It is pretty easy to avoid doing!

I normally wouldn’t feel the need to explain the distinction between “opposing Israeli war crimes and genocide” vs. “calling for retributive killings of Canadian Jews, regardless of their politics” in granular detail, but I’ve seen enough wild posts online lately that it felt useful to spell it out.

Opposing the genocide in Gaza is moral & right & everyone should be putting pressure on politicians and protesting. This goes *far* beyond that.

Stopped shopping at all Loblaws brands, and Shoppers, during the boycott last May and honestly haven’t missed them.

Last year, the 80th anniversary, I went to all of the D-day landing beaches and visited all of the cemeteries. The British and Canadians were also part of the operation, with the Canadians taking the heaviest losses proportionally.
