UK immigration law question... how are our obligations to the Refugee Convention not in conflict with UK Immigration Act? Is it just that the latter classifies those who enter irregularly as' illegal' but the former means we can't punish (arrest) them for it? Or is that a very reductive view?

Thought deactivating my Twitter account would cause hives; but I've largely been a consumer more than a contributor of late. And that value has decreased to the point that binning it off entirely felt cathartic. I don't miss it. Any of it.
