I am glad you realize that. I could see you getting really upset. There was a psych study about 18 years ago which found that cable news companies were marketing anxious feelings in order to create an emotional dependency.

no, it doesn't support 2e, and I have tried advertising there before.

alright, let's see if we can get 2 more involved.

I keep trying to find at least 3 people who aren't flakes so I can do a weekly stream/chat play. :( Unfortunately I'm lucky to get just 1 to show up. Also considering doing an open Play by Post game here on bluesky. Anyone can join, but they'd have to link their stats/sheet with each post.

I've been here for a while XD

Online only. Games will be streamed. Games will be handled in chat rooms. Mics are not required. No sex or weird c*** allowed. And when I say ANY class and ANY race, I mean it. You only face what you bring with you.

I'm sorry I rambled off, I do stand by my point about the industry and social norms needing push back and merely used my book as a small example, I'm just a little groggy from programming all week. I'll shut up now.

The industry needs to feel push back. And in pushing back against the industry it will also push back against social norms. If the social norms are pushed to accept discussion of sensitive topics, because the industry publishes them, then we will see real change on all fronts.

Sorry I'm a little bitter about some of the rejection letters. The ones which say : "Well it's not our genre" or "we didn't like it" are different. They don't bother me. The ones which say "not marketable" piss me off. But the point stands. The industry is pushing against anything sensitive.

I mean, this shouldn't be a surprise. The publishing industry is overtly against any sensitive topic. Over and over again my rejection letters for John Rocket are: "This is not marketable due to the content." Content: 50% of the book is Red Scare, Race and Assault recovery in the 1950s.

When I am really sick and having trouble to breathe, my little sweethearts keep using their paws to try to open my mouth. They will also meow loudly in my ear if they think my breathing is too shallow, while periodically putting their nose to my mouth and nose. They are #RNs!

If my kitty is starving, they have my permission. Also, accounts of them biting mouths and noses immediately after incapacitation are actually due to them trying to clear your airways to help you breathe. They try to use their paws first.

Free Speech is the only thing that exposed those racist people and allowed them to be ferreted out. Free Speech is an act of raising awareness of what's going on, and by that I mean if 100 racists come out, they feel free to expose themselves and 1,000 more. I'm glad the organization was exposed!
