George Floyd was murdered by police five years ago today. The Say Their Names cemetery in Minneapolis features memorials for Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Amadou Diallo, Oscar Grant, Korryn Gaines, Freddie Gray and far too many more Black people who died at the hands of police.

It's not just the money, either. A venue manager told me that when they're setting up her show, she went out and introduced herself to the locals doing the work to thank them. He said that's the only act he's ever seen do that. You don't have to be a fan of her music to be a fan of Taylor Swift.
