Of course no one could have predicted this would happen. 😁

You sound like you expect the stormtroopers to behave responsibly

I guess China only agreeing to only provide the rare earths for six months is what Trump means by "up front" 🙄

Great insight on the third Jacqué! 💥💥💥

Exactly. Trump wants you to know if can happen to anybody that doesn't behave

DOGE boys better make your own copy of all that sensitive US citizen data, in case you need a bargaining chip.
comment in response to

Trump says you're all safe if you just behave yourselves.
comment in response to

Well we knew the DOGE boys were hoovering up all the data they could and no doubt exporting it to Elon's own datacenters. No change even if Musk is sort of on the outs.

Ironic that the net effect of Russia's attempt to use Trump to disrupt democracies is to bring them closer together.

They ok with people who are wrong on dogma but right on repressive social policies.

"The premise here is that protests against ICE amount to rebellion that impedes the government from executing the law."
Trump's definition of rebellion is not the normal meaning - an attempt to overthrow the govt. He calls anyone trying to impede his policy orders rebels that need to be suppressed.

Sadly Russia is gradually morphing into a spartan, military-first economy with smaller general economy and it's GDP driven by energy revenue and military spending. Basically it's becoming North Korea with better nukes and oil exports.

Absolutely. LA Marines, Nat Guard and other outrages are part of the distraction to keep the base from noticing the economic and other wrecking agendas.

Someone needs to make a charter challenge. If I post a comment which employs a fair use link to provide background to my post, it's ME that's publishing that, not the linked site.

Trump is just trying to complete the agenda and the only people he worries about are his base and allies, so he has to keep feeling them red meat outrages to keep the entertained and distracted.
comment in response to

Just another typical Trump faux deal, just enough to claim victory. He really doesn't care at all about whether this is right for the US.

And I bet they didn't even look for undocumented people doing the housekeeping for their rooms.

It's not even like Trump is effective at being evil. He stumbles though all foreign engagements will universally disastrous results. And is a laughingstock around the world.

He couldn't have made a stronger argument for replacing R House members in swing states.
Seems very likely there will be a D majority in the House, the big question is can you get a big enough Senate D majority using those seats up in '26.

It's all about numbers. No previous impeachment+removal attempt ever had enough Senate votes.
BUT if Ds get large enough midterm majorities in both House and Senate AND Trump continues to trash the general economy, there could be enough R Senators (might only need 5 or 6) to vote to remove.

Who is checking to find out how many of these new ICE agents are freed J6 insurrectionists?

And no doubt it won't actually secure more of those minerals.
Remember the problem isn't that China is the only place that has rare earths, it's that it's the only nation economically extracting them right now (which is very environmentally awful). We could get those minerals elsewhere and pay more

Will armed riot control squads with their face helmets and tear gas guns be marching along after the tanks and missiles?
Would be nice if somebody ran out in front of the tanks and created a US version of the Tiananmen Square incident to capture on video.
