They’re going to mash bad pitchers and struggle against good pitchers. Plus the usual bad base running, as a treat. Wild card here they come.

Good to see Schatz has fully completed the transition to a feckless empty suit. Maybe the dumbest of the votes, or gillebrand.

Year 1 of the Hellebuyck extension is 9.66% of the salary cap. 9.66% of next year’s cap is about $9.225 million. Hellebuyck is the best goalie in the world. No reason to pay that much more for Igor. Just throwing money at poor roster construction because reasons.

A 30 year old getting significantly worse? Surely, this is reversible.

Drury would trade anything to make sure Jones doesn’t play.

I hope I get to this spot. I reserved a hotel in Boulder like 6 weeks ago and now feel like I have to use it! But really I don’t need to fly in from New York, it’s not cheap!

Yeah and that’s fine. But when Drury gives him 6 years and 5 million AAV, plus the Borgen contract, it’s not going to get any better back there. Even with moving on from Lindgren.

If Drury wouldn’t trade Schneider for JT, I’m sure there is a big 6 year extension coming for him. I shudder to think what the AAV will be. Drury is going to screw this team for a decade.

They already hate him and lump him in with Robert’s for Bostock. He’ll never recover from that with many conservatives.

Yeah I know the cap is going up but Devon Toews’ AAV is $7.25 and is a better player. So I think Miller should come in under that. But we’ll see.

I want to bet on K’Andre and I think they will. But Drury consistently overpays. It seems like he moved contracts just to put himself right back into cap hell. At this rate, the K’Andre AAV will be $8 million.

In case you don’t know, the old feed is back and updating.

Neither of them should be hall of famers

Whatever you say, Mark.

Organization filled with clown leadership. Rempe should never leave Hartford. Can’t wait for them to trade Laf or Chytil for JT Miller.

It’s all good. Very possible I am the only idiot who still had the old feed and had no idea about the new episodes.
comment in response to post
I think so? I just tried and the last couple episodes play.

Sorry - If it’s any consolation, you have company with the old Lozo hockey podcast at the bottom of the feed.

No, the last episode is still Eddie Murphy from 2019. Here’s the link: podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/t...

Great, I’ll have to look for it. Thanks!

What a surprise! I can’t believe you guys are podcasting again. I always kept the subscription in the Apple podcast app in case there was a surprise comeback but I guess it’s on spotify now. I haven’t watched a full SNL episode in years so off topic is good!

Thank you! These are the fun kind of answers I was looking for.

What goalie has ovi played the most games against and not scored on?

It’s a fun cycle: people who are genuinely distressed about the direction things are going say “we should probably do something about those things,” powers that be in the party say, “but if we do that we’ll lose!” then lose anyhow and say “someone should probably do something about those things…”

Someone has to look at this chart and then explain to me the difference in AAV between him and the new Igor contract. I know, the cap is going up.

The MTA is always asking for more money. When they need serious reforms and to figure out how to use the money effectively and not spend exponentially more than other transit systems around the world.
comment in response to post
2) saying look at the improvements to transit won’t work because of how bad the MTA and service is. The MTA has such low approval ratings already with New Yorkers. Convincing people this is the MTA’s “golden ticket” seems premature. The MTA has to first prove they can actually make things better.

Two things: 1) you aren’t wrong but so many people’s opinions are fully baked now after 10 seconds. There is no message that cuts through to people (on either side). I don’t think there is a magic message that overcomes a person’s preconceptions and the 1 headline they saw about tolls going up.

Glad I’m not alone on this.

Well except all the lunatic NYT crossword/word games people. The venn diagram of them and 2017 resistance Dems is just a circle, probably.

Can I offer you Obama and Schumer and the pod save America assholes telling people they need to get out vote instead? Because that’s all that will happen.
