Yeah - that’s about the number I was looking at… I was hoping to get a little more equity in our home and then spring for it

Peter Thiel’s nihilistic transhumanism is inspired by Curtis Yarvin’s contempt for humanity, they’re psychotic. Advocating against healthcare while chasing bionic immortality for the few is funny. Humanity’s value isn’t conditional on tech or stagnation. He needs to be institutionalized.

i also think that it is only a matter of time before this court rewrites section 1 of the 14th to effectively end birthright citizenship. the 14th amendment is the chief obstacle to a legal regime of tiered citizenship and subordinate castes, and they will not let it stand.

as for the upshot of the decision, the republican court has put the citizen children of non-citizens in a position similar to that of free blacks during the antebellum period. their right to enjoy the privileges and immunities of american citizenship will vary according to state borders

“You lose credibility when you don’t tell the exact details of the decision”
Nah man, you lose credibility when you ignore what’s happening right in front of your eyes. They are ignoring a plain reading of the constitution and making it legal to deport US citizens.

They just made it legal to deport US citizens in some parts of the country. If your response to that is anything other than, “Jesus that’s fucked up” you’ve lost the damn plot

Very concerning that levels of travelling actively to school are below 2015 levels - a decade of no national progress despite individual schools seeing improvements.
% of children being driven to school going up last year should prompt reflection from gov on why & joined up action to tackle it.

There’s a lot of zero-sum thinking and false beliefs about human psychology.

Raising marginal tax rates is the same thing as torturing people to death.

Biggest damn babies in the world. They’re actually saying that raising their marginal tax rate is the same thing as murdering them.
