Shots missing? Most variations of "realistic range space combat" I see proposed tend to have shots that are perfectly accurate, can't be avoided without liquefying the crew, and in general treating the crew as nothing more than fragile cargo because computers fast.

Sometimes it feels like people want Star Wars appeal to them even when they are unwilling to suspend their disbelief with regard to melee weapons holding their own against automatic ranged weapons.
