Finally watched "2001: A Space Odyssey" Wow! Crazy that it's from 1968 BEFORE the moon landing. I had to keep reminding myself that it doesn't "look like Star Wars". Star Wars looks like IT! Absolute #cinema. 10/10. It's not plot heavy but as a cinematic experience Kubrick nailed it. #scifi #movies

Finally managed to get hold of a pico 2 devboard. Didn't get to play with it this weekend, but that's at least one step ahead for the DSP board. Gotta see if realtime audio on the rp2350 is viable first.

Embedded engineers need to get with the times. Modern MCUs have hardware FPUs and more than enough memory. We even use RTOSs! We don't need to be casting void pointers around like its 1980. I prefer to prioritise type safety and clarity over saving a few bytes. I'd rather save myself the headache.
