Thank you!

Oh yeah I would definitely would stick with an orchestral score again, but having new music written for the film would be tops. Kind of like how star wars did it. I haven't watched many movies from that period so I'm not sure if it was common to write music exclusively for a film score back then.

I'm still baffled with how they did the effects back then, probably on the tape directly? Especially the psychedelic stuff at the end (which reminded me of interstellar a bit too much haha)

I don't know if stereotypical is the right word. But I think it would've been better served by a proper composed soundtrack for the movie and not taking existing pieces.

It really is! The only thing that really felt dated was the very stereotypical orchestral pieces that felt out of place compared to the other sound design in the tense moments. If it came out today it'd probably have some overly dramatic score by Hanz Zimmer.

That's mental.

It bugs me in inkscape too.

I could really benefit from less self awareness. It’s crippling me.

I'm not American and I almost though WWIII started reading the first half of this post.

Also, its important to know exactly what these abstractions (like vector and smart pointers) are doing underneath, otherwise it will cause even more headaches (just a different kind)

There are times when you've gotta do what you gotta do and its still important to understand how to do all those things safely, but the product is not going to explode if I use a vector instead of malloc on an array.

This is a canon event. I'm terrified of mandolins since I sliced part of my thumb off too.

Will we get checkmarks (or some other badge) for domain verification?

I should probably use some hashtags. #wearables #reverseEngineering #BLE #smartRing #nrfConnect #wireshark #hardwareHacking

OK, I've managed to find the packet that triggers a heart rate scan and I can replay it in NRF connect. 🪩👏 I can now get the heart rate from the ring!

The end is near.

So, I've found out what MCU it uses by dumping the OTA FW I ripped from the android app data. This led me to a repo with a BT stack SDK. Still no luck with getting any info out though, seems like they have their own protocol on a custom characteristic. And BT logs in wireshark hasn't helped either.

The other one I know is "IDE for GR", made for the "Gadget Renesas Boards". The coolest part is that the boards and the IDE are bright pink! 💖 www.renesas.com/en/products/... 👀 But has anybody seen any other forks? I'd love to find more!
