I'm 38 and needed a cane for a while. I felt ridiculous but injuries can happen at any age and you do what you have to do. I'm very grateful that this wasn't long term but I also have a deeper respect for people using canes to get around.
Plus I added some fun stickers to it. 😁

I hear you. My family is republican & would rather not vote than vote blue. I can't hate them. They have supported me through so much hardship. Deep down they good people. idk why they buy the lies. I strive 2b the nicest person in the room wearing a protest Tshirt. Peace is protest w/ this regime.

I'll never forget Kavanagh. I was working at a bar during the hearings. The regulars all supported him. As a victim of date rape, I had to listen to these white Republican men justify his actions. I wonder if the hole I punched in the kitchen stairwell is still there?

I was a Hollywood cliché; the rebellious daughter of the local police chief. I had a "get out of jail free" card. A traffic stop was a matter of "Do you know who my daddy is?" I have no idea what it feels like for someone who was taught to be wary of police out of necessity.

When I was in college (2006) a student next to me was stating a case against a female pres; He said what about "when they're "on the rag"? I exchanged looks with the prof like "is this guy for real?" Prof encouraged me to go off on him. I used to think he was trolling me but now I know he was FR. 🤢

Let's change these headlines from " dies" at 59 to "was murdered" at 59. Call it what it was, News! A man was murdered. Another man is grieving. And don't hide the inciting incident, the couple finding evidence of their dog's death (Probably killed by the neighbor).
