The same people whose theory of fighting fascism (from Trump, it has to be said, bc it's not clear they understand that Trump is the fascist here) is whining ceaselessly about Chuck Schumer are the same people whose theory of winning an election was to whine ceaselessly about Merrick Garland.

97% of extremist-related murders in the U.S. in 2024 were linked to right-wing extremists. It’s not a political movement anymore - it’s a hobby for failed men with too much testosterone and not enough brain cells.

When you whined ceaselessly about Merrick Garland you: 1) Spread provably false disinformation about what he did 2) Thereby FOCUSING discursive space primarily on Garland AND applauding the use of disinformation 3) RATHER THAN simply repeating that Trump is a criminal

I was just watching the testimony of the computer programmer who testified in front of the court in New York and he admitted to writing a prototype to be able to override elections without anyone knowing.

The assassin 1) had ties to New Apostolic Reformation & 2) allegedly had hit list In 2022 I went to New Apostolic Reformation conference (where Trump Jr & Roger Stone spoke) A speaker projected this image, prophesying “Angel of death” would visit these Dem political opponents. It was a hit list

unconfirmed reports that voting machines were secretly altered before ballots were cast in November's election. The federally accredited Pro V&V, signed off on "significant" changes to ES&S voting machines used in over 40% of U.S. counties "vanished from public view" after election

So where is Pro V&V now? dailyboulder.com/report-votin...

The most inspiring chapters in our nation's history came when Americans faced down some of our country's darkest demons. Those moments, like our own, were difficult to live through but also brought the chance to bring out the best in us, with enduring consequences.

Yes. Exactly like that.

I think large, positive, and peaceful gatherings to build community and raise people's awareness are better than screaming at National Guardsmen who don't wanna be there and waving foreign flags in front of burning cars, but that's just me.

I think there ought to be large, planned, and peaceful demonstrations in many of America’s major cities with music and entertainment and speakers. But spontaneously showing up to scream at the National Guard increases the risk of people going bonkers.

NEW: Trump’s DOJ is “court-baiting”: forcing the judiciary to make potentially unpopular decisions that are necessary to protect constitutional principles — then attacking them for those decisions. Experts say it’s straight from the authoritarian playbook. www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/...

We don’t need to back off the American Gestapo and we don’t need to respect its agents. People exercising state violence are not entitled to anonymity. Nor are the people directing the state violence.

“I’m just going to say it, shame on any of us who throws a trans child under the bus for thinking they’re going to get elected. That child deserves our support. Don’t worry about the pollsters calling it distractions, because we need to be the party of human dignity.”

A story worth re-highlighting: Darren Beattie has provoked alarm within the State Department since being appointed in February for his ardent pro-Russian views. He has been noted for his focus on destroying the agency tasked with tackling Kremlin propaganda. www.telegraph.co.uk/us/news/202...

👀from @hiltzikm.bsky.social: "The abrupt removal in 2022 of mandates that children wear masks in school contributed to an estimated 21,800 COVID deaths that year—a shocking 9% of the total COVID deaths in the U.S. that year." Important study. Science & facts matter. www.latimes.com/business/sto...

i'm starting to see some scoldy posts pointing out that we are laughing about a fire on the deck of our sinking ship and i have to be honest once the ship started sinking i decided i would take the laughs where i found them

Honestly, on top of the political problem, if there are adults left in the White House -- BIG IF -- Elon's meltdown really does pose very complex NatSec issues.

Astronauts on the Space Station flipping back and forth between Musk and Trump accounts to find out if they're going to be able to return to Earth.

Why is it important to highlight & support #CollectiveCourage? Autocrats exploit our tendency toward self-preservation thru attacks/intimidation, pushing critics to obey in advance & scaring others to do the same. Together, we can reverse this cycle. More 🔗 www.ifyoucankeepit.org/p/reversing-...
