Sometimes too a "stunt" is simply demonstrating what people in authority will do. I'm sure he knew something like this could happen. And I don't think we have to rule out the possibility that he's aware of the publicity in respect to the election. But ICE didn't have to cuff him.

“You don’t have the authority to arrest US citizens asking to see a judicial warrant” —Brad Lander just now as he is being handcuffed by ICE.

it's certainly possible we're about to get directly involved in a war with Iran but pizza sales at the Pentagon or some troops eating lobster don't predict that. there are a ton of much more obvious indicators that shit is going down.

A terrible outcome here would be lawmakers quickly writing and passing a bill that protects ONLY elected officials. We need to end data broker abuse entirely, and protect people who don’t get private security and make headline news when they are targeted

My colleague @liaholland.bsky.social created this @fightforthefuture.org tool making it easy for you to write to your legislators and demand they stop data brokers from enabling abuse: www.fightforthefuture.org/actions/data....

The lawmakers assassinated in MN are not the first victims of murder enabled by the data broker industry. But many of the previous victims were marginalized & unknown: mostly women who were targeted by abusers or stalkers
The tech industry lobbied fiercely against bills that would have stopped this

as much as anything, Andrew Cuomo's campaign represents the bipartisan consensus at the top that consequences and standards are for other, lesser, working class plebes. destined to suffer what they must for the outcomes others merely would prefer. But No Kings should mean No Nobles either.

cuomo should be persona non grata in *every* social circle in new york, and the fact that he’s not treated as a pariah is a condemnation of every single person in those circles, bar none
