It's funny because on the Reddit they were making tons of posts getting mad at people who didn't want to use Discord. But if you do use Discord, you join their Discord and then...get told "no we don't do anything in here but point you to other Discords" "ok where's my discord" "idk google it"

The thing is all of the posts about there being no "national" were from when they had the big falling out with the founder of the org
So when people were mad at national there wasn't a national, when people are mad at SLC there's a national to say "WE'RE good, that's THEIR problem"

In the Discord they will repeatedly tell you the Discord is less for organizing and more just for pointing people to their local chapters. But then from what I've witnessed if you ask for info on your local chapter they almost never have it lmao

When I've posted about 50501 National I've had Reddit and Discord mods at different times tell me there's no such thing as 50501 National
But obviously there is! Because someone is making national decisions!

There's been several large cities whose 50501 orgs had messy breakups and split into two (like PDX 50501/Portland 50501). Who decides who gets official status in the divorce? Someone must!
