@dimfilipovic.bsky.social mailbag question: what's going on w the Kings home/road splits? Their home record is nearly as good as the Jets and their road record is nearly as bad as the Blackhawks

Jury nullification: learn it, know it, live it.

I'm late to the party but if you love music and you haven't checked out the 60 songs podcast by @harvilla.bsky.social you're missing out. It's like if pitchfork wasn't too snobby to admit that popular songs are really fucking good

🚨NEWS: Documents show USAID’s inspector general was investigating a public-private partnership with Elon Musk’s company just before Musk shut the agency down. USAID web pages mentioning Musk’s company have suddenly vanished from the agency’s website.

Come at me.

Capping how much wealth any individual could accumulate would go a long way towards solving some of our most persistent social problems and it is ridiculous that it is impossible to have a serious mainstream discussion of the idea. www.hamiltonnolan.com/p/on-having-...

It is amazing how well this has worked out so far, by the numbers and also just in terms of what you see at the river crossings and in midtown. No greater proof of how cowed/dorky/incompetent New York Democrats are that none of them can even find it in themselves to take any credit for it.

Trump is reportedly going to sign a piece of paper later today declaring that the federal government of the United States defines me as a woman. If there's a better encapsulation of how stupid the whole "define woman" thing is and has always been I'd love to see it.

Reminder that the "shoplifting" narrative was made up to begin with, then used to justify spending massive public funds on policing instead of funding public services. So you can't grab your own toothbrush at Walgreens and your local library was defunded over this "strategy".

Are you telling me that the guy who's been accused of chronically being drunk on his job as a TV host was able to go on TV looking all tidy and not at all like the popular conception of what an out-of-control drunk should look like

been a really hard week in LA, but i think the chargers losing might be the thing that breaks people's spirits, so strong is this team's bond with the city

every single one of these guys is an incel loser who thought that being rich would make them popular and well-liked and when it didn't happen they lost their minds even further

Can anyone give me any reason to hold out hope this gambling bubble ends in anything other than catastrophe?

Not lost on me that it's nonprofit tech, app.watchduty.org, showing up & actually working in the midst of the LA fires (donate to them!) Meanwhile platforms fail to surface key news, vital info is paywalled... As I've been saying, we need a new tech paradigm, yesterday!

I know it's not easy but you can deactivate your Facebook account, you know who in your life actually wants to see what you're up to. You can send those people your pictures, you can call them, you can text them and if they think LGBTQ+ is a mental illness you can limit your contact with them

How it started. How it’s going

This guy was living in a $27,500 a month apartment in the same building as Taylor Swift, and he now lives on Central Park, and is out on the street complaining about congestion pricing.

My wife and I were just discussing Home Improvement and we came to the conclusion that you can figure out any millennial's politics by asking who their favorite character from the show was, if it's Al or Wilson they're cool, if it's Tim they suck
