New colour scheme for the coat so it looks a bit less... worn out.

Unfortunately! Just gotta deal with the pros and cons of each, really. That or go full hermit and not care/not post stuff anywhere, I guess. :v

Getting seen on places like FA can be hard, but actual galleries are far better for looking at all of the work someone's made than trying to root through a "Media" tab. There are tradeoffs, but people who want to see more of your work will appreciate it.

--more complicated customs like SWORDBREAKER can come later, once I've figured out what kind of build I'm going to do. Assuming I don't stick with a base frame at any rate, 'cause I might!
comment in response to post
Thanks! The blue is actually an oversaturated custom colour I cooked up myself after being dissatisfied with the 'stock' blues, but I think it also helps that the base frame is black rather than the default grey tones. Didn't go too hard on the design just yet because we're still LL0--

Ha ha! I forgot to update this! I swapped the head out at the last minute! That's it. That's the update. Actually not quite. Here's my "pilot", too- Valeria 'Striga' Markov, next to my previous pilot Lyra 'Sledge' Kennedy, who is, for reference, 6'4". You do the math. :3 #lancer #ttrpg #heroforge

The most stressful part was having to wait an extra two weeks because of parts shortages over here. >>;
comment in response to post
Stress and frustrations are very understandable. Unfortunately I don't have much good advice here, since all my machines have been prebuilt rigs - the margins over here are tight enough that it works out in my favour, and I get a warranty out of it to boot. Something goes wrong? RMA.

Given the most recent Hourly Yotes post I am going to take this as a sign to give AndrΓ©a all of the bellyrubs. πŸ«²πŸ–οΈπŸ€šπŸ«±

technically speaking, yes

I did something similar with an older kitbash, except it was with just specific parts (I had a full legendary sub at the time), and instead of cutting out parts completely I used layer masks to simply hide/show parts as desired. That way I could easily paint bits back in if I changed my mind.
comment in response to post
Yep! Nelson 2.0, just select "Color - Chassis Details". They only really work for the basic chassis. If you wanna do the same for the Flight Type you'll have to export as layers and adjust some parts manually. I've been meaning to submit my cutout elements to the site but never got around to it.
comment in response to post
I suppose that would be one way of reading it, but it's all just stock elements off of the retrograde site, so I can't say if that was the original intent. I didn't do any touch-ups in image-editing software myself since I don't want to sink too much time & energy into something I may not use.

that's just water with extra steps

I think there are a bunch of factors involved, at the end of the day. Someone might like a thing but not have the energy or (metaphorical) tools to articulate why they like it. They might not want to be seen leaving comments on that kind of material. They might just be really shy!

I do wish this site had the "remove follower" option that twitter got a while back. Banish someone without having to full-on block them.

can't always have cool new things to show off, that's just how things go sometimes! looking forward to whatever you cook up though. I've passed SF onto a good half-dozen to maybe a dozen people both directly and indirectly now, and all of 'em were pretty taken with it. :3
